Welding and Fixture Tables
HPS Fabrications builds its own welding and fixture tables, and builds them to order. A welding table is a measuring instrument that gets welded on: if the surface is not flat and does not stay flat, every assembly built on it inherits the error. We build them heavy, stress-relieved and to the hole pattern you actually use.

The one tool in the shop that has to be right
Every weldment built in this shop is built on a fixture table. If that surface is not flat, and does not stay flat after a few thousand hours of heat and clamping, then every assembly built on it carries the table’s error into the field.
So we build our own. Not because buying them is difficult, but because the flatness of the surface our work is assembled on is not something to outsource.
What we will build for you
- The size your work actually is, not the nearest catalogue size
- The hole pattern and pitch your fixturing already uses
- Top thickness and substructure chosen for the load and the heat, not the price point
- Cut on our own plasma and laser, welded and finished here
Why it is on this page
Most of this site shows one-off equipment. A welding table is the other thing we want more of: a repeatable product we can build again and again to the same standard. Same reason we show the crane track chocks.

Common questions
Welding and Fixture Tables: questions buyers ask
Why would I buy a table instead of ordering a catalogue one?
Size and hole pattern. A catalogue table is the size somebody else needed. If your work is 12 feet long or your fixturing uses a particular pitch, a built-to-order table stops you working around the furniture.
What makes a welding table good?
Flatness that survives heat and use. That comes from the thickness of the top, the structure underneath it and how the whole thing is fabricated and relieved, not from the price.
Do you build them for other shops?
Yes. We build ours because we would rather control the surface our work is built on, and the same reasoning applies to anyone else's shop.
Can you cut a custom hole pattern?
Yes, that is ordinary work here. Tell us the pitch, the diameter and the layout.
